Energy-Efficiency Financial Incentives
Financial Incentives and Benefits to Customers
The New Jersey Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program offers financial incentives on energy efficient improvement packages.  The more energy savings measures you decide to install, the greater the incentive you may be eligible to receive. Enhanced incentives are available based on the home's estimated total energy savings (TES), as a result of energy efficient measures installed. Home Assessment: To be eligible for HPwES incentives, a homeowner must have a home assessment (audit) performed by a certified contractor.
None
Tier 2
Estimated total energy savings (TES) of at least 10% and less than 20%: Install air sealing and/or insulation, with the option of installing duct sealing and duct insulation measures.
$1,000 cash rebate, not to exceed 50% of cost of the measures used to calculate TES. No loan option available.
Customers who receive an incentive at this tier can also receive incentives through the WARM and COOLAdvantage programs for any HVAC upgrades and conversions.
Tier 3
Level 1- Estimated TES of at least 20% and less than 25%: Install air sealing, insulation, HVAC, DHW and/or other eligible measures. (Measures NOT eligible are appliances, lighting, doors and windows)
$3,000 cash rebate, not to exceed 50% of cost of the measures used to calculate TES, 
And 0% interest loan up to $10,000
Or 0% financing through your gas utility company; Elizabethtown Gas, New Jersey Natural Gas or South Jersey Gas.
Tier 3
Level 2 - Estimated TES of at least 25% or greater: Install air sealing, insulation, HVAC, DHW and other eligible measures. (Measures NOT eligible are appliances, lighting, doors and windows)
$4,000 cash rebate, not to exceed 50% of cost of the measures used to calculate TES,
And 0% interest loan up to $10,000
It is expected that NJ natural gas utility companies will also continue to offer a loan buy-down to 0% for loans up to $10,000 in addition to the cash incentive. Interest rate buy-downs for customers whose utility company does not offer a loan will be paid by the program.

WARMAdvantage
The WARMAdvantage Program provides rebates for high efficiency home heating systems and/or water heaters. To be eligible you must purchase, install and operate a heating system and/or water heater that meets all applicable efficiency requirements.
You don't need to be an energy expert to make the right decisions on equipment for your home.  Choosing high efficiency equipment can save you money on your heating bills, while reducing pollution associated with energy use.  Our home heating brochure and water heating brochure contain valuable information and tips for selecting the right equipment and shopping smart!
COOLAdvantage Program
The COOLAdvantage Program provides rebates for energy efficient central air conditioners or heat pumps as well as proper system sizing and installation "best practices" that affect operating efficiency.

·       Get the Most for your Money.
Select a properly trained contractor.  It's not just the quality of the equipment installed; it's also the quality of the installation.  It takes good training and advanced technology to properly install today's high efficiency equipment.
·       Don't Cool the Outdoors.
Before putting in a new air conditioner or heat pump, schedule a Home Performance assessment to find out where energy is being wasted.  If your home does not have enough insulation, or leaks too much air, even the most efficient unit will waste energy.
