Heating & Air Conditioning Jobs in New Jersey

McAllister…The Service Company is looking to add qualified HVAC Install Technicians to our award-winning team based in Somers Point, New Jersey. You will install and replace heating and air conditioning systems. Five years’ experience is required, and licenses/certifications are preferred.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Possesses a valid New Jersey’s driver license, has experience operating a motor vehicle, and has a clean driving record
• Understands the sequence of operations of an HVAC system and the ability to troubleshoot potential start up issues
• Knowledgeable about New Jersey, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC code requirements
• Customer relation skills
• Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and move with a sense of urgency
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Reliable, self-driven, and career-oriented

Job functions include but are not limited to:

• Working in tight conditions
• Working outside in harsh conditions
• Working with power tools
• Inspecting equipment repairs and replacements
• Performing routine preventative maintenance
• Responding to emergency requests
• Adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Diagnosing cooling, heating, zoning problems on residential systems
• Changing out extreme burnout compressors and evaporator coils
• Understanding subcool and superheat
• Changing out condensers and air handlers
• Brazing using a nitrogen shield
• Understanding ductwork, diagnosing airflow problems, and repairing ductwork
• Performing maintenances and write up maintenance contracts
• Communicating warranty issues to the customer
